I guess this is the part where I tell you I'm newly single. I'm still confused as to why it turned so bad so quickly. But it times like these where I'm reminded that films provide me with a marvellous, albeit brief escape. So in keeping in check with the blog, I'd like to quickly mention the movie I watched last night - Revolutionary Road.
Heavy, confronting themes and events are explored within the pristine houses and manicured lawns that are beautifully filmed and carried with such grace that my respect for Leonardo Dicaprio as an actor extends further than what The Departed ever propelled him as. Chilling and devastating in every sense of the word, the vitality of the character's is what saves this film where the story collapses in on itself. Beautifully brutal.
